Common mistakes & fixes

If something doesn’t work, it’s almost always one of these.

The Save button won’t work / a red list appeared

Section titled “The Save button won’t work / a red list appeared”

BUZ is telling you a required box is empty. The red list names each one. Fix: fill in a name, Branch, Customer Group, a Sales rep and a Date, then press Save again.

Their tick-box in the side panel is probably un-ticked, which hides them. Fix: tick their name again in the “Sales reps” list on the left. Nothing was deleted.

My phone opened My Day but I wanted the full calendar

Section titled “My phone opened My Day but I wanted the full calendar”

On a phone, BUZ shows My Day on purpose because the calendar is hard to use on a small screen. Fix: tap the calendar button at the top-right of My Day, or add ?desktop=1 to the web address.

It says this might be a returning customer

Section titled “It says this might be a returning customer”

Good — BUZ found someone with the same phone, email or name, to stop duplicates. Fix: click Details to check. If it’s them, click Use; if not, click the × and carry on.

BUZ needs an address to work out who’s nearby. Fix: enter the install address (pick it from the drop-down), add the products and a date, then click Suggest reps.

A “clash” warning appeared on the time

Section titled “A “clash” warning appeared on the time”

That rep already has something at that time. It’s only a heads-up, not a block. Fix: pick a different time, or book anyway if a double-up is fine.

The map is empty or shows straight lines, not roads

Section titled “The map is empty or shows straight lines, not roads”

The map needs saved addresses, and road routes need a setting turned on by your office. Fix: make sure customers have real addresses; ask your manager to enable maps/directions. Pins still work meanwhile.

I closed the form by accident — did I lose everything?

Section titled “I closed the form by accident — did I lose everything?”

No. BUZ auto-saves a draft every few seconds. Fix: open a new appointment and look under the Drafts menu at the top.

Deleting asks you to confirm first, so it’s hard to do by accident — but if it’s gone, it’s gone. Fix: re-create it with New Appointment. Next time, move or edit instead of deleting.

A yellow warning bar appears when the installer system can’t be reached. Your lead appointments still show fine. Fix: this one is for your office/IT. Nothing you did is wrong.
