Sales Order Excel Import/Export
Entering orders with an Excel upload is a fast way to manage sales orders in bulk. You prepare a spreadsheet with the order details laid out to match your Group Options, then upload it straight into BUZ to submit new orders or update existing ones.
This page covers building the order template. For entering and editing orders once the template is ready, see Excel Import/Export Order Entry/Editing.
Build your order template
Section titled “Build your order template”-
Download your Group Options. Export the Group Options for the product you want to order.
-
Strip it back to the option names. Delete everything except the unique option names — this is what BUZ uses to process your orders. Also remove everything in column A, and delete any columns marked with an H in row 8 (heading columns), as BUZ doesn’t need them for processing.
-
Add one extra column at the start. After inserting it you should have empty columns A and B, with your Group Options headings starting from column C onwards.
-
Add the header cells. In cell A1 type
ORDER ITEM PKID, and in cell B1 typeINVENTORY CODE.
Your order sheet is now ready for order entry.
Quicker alternative — export from a test order
Section titled “Quicker alternative — export from a test order”Instead of building the template by hand, you can let BUZ generate it for you:
-
Create a dummy or test order for the product.
-
On the cart screen, select the test order and click Export.
-
BUZ generates the upload file, ready to use for that product.
